TECHNICAL UPDATE from SMITTYBILT:
Possible excessive movement or rattling. This could be caused by the heim joint being too long & incorrect heim joint bolts. The carrier must rest in the bump stop properly to prevent movement.
CORRECTIVE ACTION:
Short Term Fix: Heim Joint - You can remove one of the ends and cut off 1/4" of threading & reinsert.(refer to image)
Long Term Fix: Future shipments f the Tyre Carrier will have the shorter heim joints & shoulder bolts.
